Dr Game
I won 5000 Microsoft Points but I have no idea what to use it on. Any suggestions?
- Dangle
Congratulations Dangle. I hope that screen name is a reference to Reno 911! Good show but the last season was a bit so-so.
Xbox Live has a lot of cool stuff on there for you to spend your Points.
If you're into games that offer short bursts of gaming then Geometry Wars 2 might be the one to start with. It's simple yet colourful. A great shooter if you're after a bit of nostalgia with a twist. Lumines is also a worthy purchase. Think Tetris with a cool tunes but extremely fun.
If you're after something with a little more depth then Braid will keep you entertained with a good story and innovative gameplay. Play with time to get through the levels. It's hard to explain but something that must be played by all. Prince of Persia is also worthy of your points. It's a remake of the original PC classic with Sands of Times visuals. Check this out if you love swords and long jumps into spikes. Check out the demos if you're not sure about any of these titles.
There's also some classic Xbox titles you could score if you've got the HD space. There's Pysconauts, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Burnout Takedown and Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy. Or you could buy expansions to some of the games in your collection like Mass Effect or the upcoming GTA IV pack.
Hope this gives you a start Dangle. If you've got a question for Dr Game then email paulfrew@hotmail.com.
