Dr Game's E3 - PSP GO!
June 1st 2009 00:12
It’s that time of year again where all the publishers and big names in the industry come together to show off their latest offerings.
There is a lot to cover and so what I’ll be trying to do this week is provide links to the news you should care about each day.
Here’s one to whet your appetite and get you started on the E3 train.
Sony’s Qore broke the news that the PSP GO! is coming. According to the You Tube video – Sony plans on having it existing along side the PSP 3000 model but I think that’s going to hard because it’s such a beautiful machine I can’t understand why anyone would pick the older machine over this one.
The PSP GO! is allegedly UMD drive-less so you’re going to have to download games to the system – which has its pros and cons. The pro is that it’s going to be good that you can just load games up on the fly but the con is that there will be no competitive price. You’re going to have to pay whatever Sony sets on the PS Store. The only alternative I can think of is if stores sell codes for the games at discount prices like they have done previously with GTA IV Lost and Damned.
The system is about the size of an iphone and flips upwards to reveal the buttons. It looks great and will hopefully play great. We should know more about it this week.
Check it out here
