Dr Game's Euthanasia - X-Play

You wouldn't think an Australian would watch X-Play but it wasn't until one weekday afternoon that I came across it on our cable Extreme Sports channel and since then I've taped it through my Tivo-like recorder and I've always enjoyed it.
Sure the jokes are lame, the skits a little stupid and T-Squared is a tool but I've never questioned one of their reviews. I've always thought they've been pretty spot-on.
But yesterday I saw a segment that I thought kind of lost the plot and possibly put me off watching it again.
Yesterday Adam did a segment called "Your Childhood Sucks - Final Fantasy VII" and basically ripped into the game and anyone who has fond memories of it. Now I've never been a fan of Final Fantasy games, I've never played Final Fantasy VII but I know a lot of my friends loved it and still consider it one of their favourite games.
Now Adam seems to have some kind of vendetta against Square Enix at the moment after something about the Final Fantasy XIII trailer. But it's one thing to have a grudge against the company and another to have a go at your fan base.
I'm not a huge fan of RTS's but I don't go and trash Halo Wars or Command and Conquer just because I don't like those types of games. I didn't like Oblivion but I don't question the sexuality of its fans or insinuate that they have intimate relations with horses after buying them horse armour.
My point is that you don't attack your audience because they like a particular game or genre not matter how much of a fanboy they are and now that X-Play has done this I don't think there is any way they can redeem themselves after attacking one of people's most favourite games of all time.
X-Play is going to be downsized to three shows a week soon. I think it would be better if they just had a regular spot on Attack of the Show. Just my thoughts.
