Dr Game's PSA - Silent Hill Remake

I don't usually report on rumours but I absolutely love the Silent Hill series.
So you can imagine my happiness when I read that the original Silent Hill that was release on the PlayStation One is rumoured to be remade for the Wii and PSP.
Now I can't imagine it working on the Wii - so I'll skip that system and go straight for the PSP copy with the hope that it gets ported to the PS2.
I really hope Konami makes it happen because Silent Hill is one game I never got to finish it but it taught me one of the most valuable lessons in videogaming - have more than one save file.
You see I got to the final boss - but all I had left in my inventory was a hunting rifle and five, yes five bullets remaining. Which pretty much made it impossible to defeat the boss even I was able to manage to get five head shots. To make it worse I had been only using one save file the whole time so it's not like I could go to a previous save file and collect some ammo.
From that day onwards I have always had multiple save files so I don't face that situation again.
So what is the likelihood of Silent Hill being remade? Well the chances are good. Remakes are coming from everywhere. Chronicles of Riddick, Bionic Commando and Golden Axe just to name a few. So we'll have to wait and see but I would expect an announcement soon.
