Dr Game's Second Opinion - PlayStation Home

So what did you guys think? Was it all it was hyped up to be? I can probably answer that, no.

But it is the beginning of something that has the potential to be huge. Like your MySpace or Facebook's, Home is something you can log in to, interact with people and then log off to go back to whatever it is you were doing.


At the moment there's not a hell of a lot to do in Home. You can go bowling (if there is a lane free) or you can play the arcade machines (if they're vacant) or play chess (again if it's free) or check out some movies in the theatre (after a load). You can't spend hours in here and I don't think that's the intention of Home - some other websites give the impression that this is suppossed to be something you spend all your time with and I don't get that. Who spends hours in Facebook or MySpace? Well, loners I guess.

A lot of the features that were announced with Home like Trophy Rooms and Exhibits are not available yet but for what it is it's still a decent home away from home. Log in, have a little fun and then go play a game.

DIAGNOSIS
It has a lot of potential. There is some fun to be had. It's just a matter of wait and see but it's good to have this feature finally available on the PS3. It's a good thing it's free though.
