DSi don't think so
February 19th 2009 23:08
The DSi has got a release date. Europeans will be able to pick one up on April 3, the US on April 5 and April 2 in Australia. You get two cameras, bigger screens, the ability to play music and store photos through the new SD card slot and a built-in web browser.
Sound familiar? Cough, iPod, cough... well except for the cameras. But if you have a mobile then it's more than likely you have a camera on it.
The games will NOT be region-free so you are forced to buy the games in your home country and since Nintendo's isn't the greatest company at releasing games in territories at the same time - it could mean a lot of people hold off picking this one.
Will you miss out on games by not picking this up? Probably. But considering Nintendo is committed in going in a completely different direction of gaming I don't think you're going to be missing out on any good games. I think the days of good Mario, Zelda and Metroid games are dead. Nintendo is looking to the masses and so I would be expecting more titles like Wii Music to become the norm.
I guess we'll see in April.
