Getting rid of gift vouchers
January 8th 2009 21:35
Dr Game,
I got all these gift vouchers for Christmas but I'm not sure what games to get. Any suggestions?
- Stu, via email
Gift vouchers are always fun to spend. I did the same thing just recently and used some vouchers to get a bunch of games that I had on my list. So here's a few suggestions for you to ponder:
LittleBigPlanet - It's good, very good. Plus if you're connected to the PSN then you can download other people's levels. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe - I was shocked at how much fun this was. The DC characters have some awesome moves and the fighting is fluid and simple to pick up that anyone can play it.
Prince of Persia - I mentioned this one in the Summer Loving blog, it's void of any Game Over screen but fantastic to look at and the acrobatics of the Prince are a joy to watch.
Dead Space - If you love survival horror titles then you owe it to yourself to check out Dead Space. From your first encounter with a monster to the bloody ending, it's an adventure full of scares that will make you piss your pants many times over.
Fable 2 - This made a lot of Top Games lists last year and for good reason. Play as a good guy or an evil guy and interact with almost every facet of the game. There's nothing like it and may never be again.
LEGO Batman - This game just oozes awesomeness. A must-buy for anyone who loves Lego Games or Batman or both.
There's also the usual favourites like Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Far Cry 2, Mirrors Edge, Metal Gear Solid 4 and so on and so on. You shouldn't have any problems finding at least one game to get.
If you have a question for Dr Game then email paulfrew@hotmail.com. Have a good weekend!
