Dr Game,
I'm itching for a new football game, should I get FIFA 09 or Pro Evolution?
- Dave
Two years ago I would have said steer clear of FIFA Dave but how times have changed.
The latest Pro Evolution plays as good as it did two years ago but not a hell of a lot has changed besides the menus and the number of official teams. You'll get a good football game but you could save your money and get one of the older Pro Evolution titles and not really miss out on anything.
FIFA 09 though is the new king. It looks stunning and the EA has made a lot of enhancements to the way the game is played. It's a lot more fluid and while you'll need to work a little bit harder to get the ball in the net compared to Pro Evo, you'll feel like you're playing a more superior football game. Plus you're getting all the official teams and players so you do feel like you're getting an authentic experience.
