Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - an exercise in long naming conventions

Tom Clancy must be a busy man. It seems to me he must be as single as me, he has to writing all the time, right? Honestly, it seems these days there's a new "Tom Clancy presents" game each six months. Though, you may seem confused, am I angry at Tom? Or am i just pointing out a useless fact? Well, i have to praise the guy really, because with Vegas 2 him and his guys at Ubisoft have done the FPS genre a big ol' favor once again, releasing, in my opinion, a gem of a tactical shooter.
First off, i just have to put this out there, i generally refuse to play this game unless I'm playing co-op, if you've had a chance to check this game out yourself I'll wager you'll agree. This game is all about co-op. Though back to the roots of the game. As with the original game, you start off with a tutorial mission far, far away from Vegas' shiny casinos. Eventually you're back in Vegas though fighting off hoards of terrorists and plot twists while having a blast with a mate (or 2).
The graphics in this game are generally some of the best out there at the moment, with characters looking and behaving like you'd expect, environments - while not destroyable - still look great and are varied up often, giving fresh cover for tactics each fight. Customisable characters are always a great feature i find and Vegas 2's is good enough to get the job done, with plenty of options for clothes, armour, camouflage and the ever popular putting-your-own-face-on option, allowing for many laughs.
Sound is once again substantial, with plenty of character dialogue to move the story along. Weapons sound great once again, though the problem of sounds glitching and then hearing a weapon firing off a thousand times is back. Vegas' music is a great mix once again, mixing up for whatever mood the game is throwing at you.
In conclusion, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a fine First Person Shooter, while probably not game of the year material, it's a great mix of great graphics, level design, sound, music and gameplay. Though, it's easily a game that should be played in co-op, not to say the team-mate AI is bad, but the isn't a better moment in games when you break the convention and just throw tactics out the window going for the most kills. Which is why i love the game.

The thing for me is, I'm a casual gamer. Things like work, family and writing endeavours mean that I can't spend every waking hour honing my skills. So, when I ventured into the online play of this game, I found myself getting continually pwned in the deathmatches by obnoxious american teenagers who seemed to do little else other than play the game. Then, in the lobby I find myself being insulted by these little twerps because I didn't get enough kills.
I love playing online... but it can be dicouraging and intimidating for a more casual gamer like myself to venture into these cliquey havens of obnoxious teenagers.
