WTF is Peggle?

Dr Game,
I see all these gaming websites talking about Peggle and it coming to PSN and Xbox Live and the IPhone and I'm just wondering what it is?

I only just discovered Peggle Lee and I have to say... it's pretty addictive.
I recently picked up a new laptop and thought it give me a good opportunity to get back in to PC gaming. I had plans to check out Sam and Max Season 1 and even Crysis but first on the list was Peggle. It had received praise on a lot of the podcasts I listen to and even remember it being in a lot of top ten lists when it was released.

It's a combination of pinball and that game you would see at carnivals where you have to get the ball in the clown's mouth. It's really quite brilliant. There are specific coloured targets you must shoot with balls to complete the level. There are power-ups spread throughout the level and targets that block your path to the coloured targets. You have a set amount of balls but you can get extra balls by performing trick shots and scoring a set amount of points with one ball.
The trial has three levels and the people at the Drunken Gamers Radio podcast put the challenge out to download the trial and see if they can walk away from it after the trial.
I could not.
I loved it and got the full game and intend to get the full game on PSN. I'm even thinking about getting into Bejeweled on my Ipod Touch as I've heard good things about that too.
So for anyone looking for a bit of fun, check out the trial above. You won't be disappointed.
